BASEBALL: Play
the 8 Way
From pitching warm up to hitting practice, the 8board bats 1000.
From Major League to Little League, players of all abilities must master the
universal arcing, twisting and extending motions used in throwing and hitting
a baseball.
Standing on the 8board, baseball players can simulate hitting
and throwing motion while engaging in a low impact warm up of
the lower body. This provides a whole-body warm up rather than
just warming up one body part at a time.
Active whole-body warm up is useful in injury prevention. For
example, the 8board movement system teaches players to engage
the whole body when throwing, thus helping pitchers avoid throwing
their pitching arm out.
Players also use the 8board to practice swinging a bat or hitting
small objects with a stick. After being on the double-swiveling
8board, any batter will step into the batter’s box more
confidently. S/he can meet any pitch, trusting his or her body
core to swivel intuitively as it has been trained by the 8board
movement system.
